My Mosaic Journey
My journey in creating mosaic art began with broken plates and flower pots. In the mosaic world this art is called “pique assiete”, which is a French term meaning “stolen plate.” Taking broken things and making something beautiful and unique with the pieces is greatly satisfying.
Later, I discovered the beauty of stained glass mosaics and I fell in love with glass. Its color and beauty add a whole new dimension to mosaics that I love. Seeing a mosaic hanging in a window satisfies my craving for color in my life.

Beautiful yellow, blue, red, green and turquoise glass create this one of a kind flower mosaic. The stained glass is glued to the safety glass with silicone and then grouted with black grout. This can be framed or I can attach D ring hangers on the back with E6000 glue. This is best displayed hanging in a window or on a stand in front of a lamp. Either way, the light makes the colors sparkle!

Glued to glass then grouted with black, sanded grout.
